Ringing in 2025

Get "Yeti" to Party!

The Town of Greeneville announces the theme of this year’s Midnight on Main as “Yeti to Party.” The 11th annual event is an all-ages New Year’s Eve street party that occurs on two blocks, centered at Main and Depot Streets. This year, early snowstorms served as the inspiration for a winter carnival featuring the lovable Yeti character, also known as the Abominable Snowman.

Starting at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, December 31st, partygoers can enjoy music from DJ Lee Cash and children can play free winter carnival games, such “Yeti Yeet” and “Snowball Sling,” for a chance to win prizes. Resolutions will be collected throughout the night to become part of the glittering ball drop at midnight. The entire event will culminate with amazing rooftop fireworks. Party favors will be given to the first 100 people with a choice of hat, tiara, or paper eyeglasses.

Kids’ Zone

The Kids’ Zone will be set up in the Fellowship Hall at the First Presbyterian Church at 110 N Main Street. Follow the signs to the entrance. Volunteers from FCC Greene host a game room complete with cornhole, oversized Jenga, oversized Connect 4, table games, and a bounce house for smaller children. There will be music and dancing as well. Parents or guardians are required to stay with their children at the Kids’ Zone.

Street Party

DJ Lee Cash will be spinning tunes for the all-ages dance party. The food truck court on Depot Street will include Top Hot Dog Stand of Greeneville, Crave BBQ, Floyd’s Snack Shack, What the Fluff cotton candy, and Arctic Bites freeze-dried candy.

General Morgan Inn

The General Morgan Inn and Brumley’s at 111 N Main Street will be hosting a party starting at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, December 31st for those 21 years and over. The event features live music and signature hors d’oeuvres. Room packages are available for a full evening experience. For more information or reservations, speak to a manager at 423-787-1000.

Catalyst Coffee Company

Catalyst will serve an assortment of tasty drinks made with their locally roasted coffee beans. It is a great place to warm up, meet friends, and hang out before the midnight fireworks show!

Tipton’s Café

Tipton’s Café at 127 W Depot Street will be open serving classic American food from 7 p.m. to 12 a.m.

The Gentry

The Gentry at 119 W Depot Street will be featuring craft beers with Saul Brooks & Friends playing live music from 8 to 11 p.m. Twisted Sister Snack Shack will be serving from their food truck on Depot Street.

Rock City Tap and Lounge

Just a little outside of the event area at 109 N College Street, Rock City Tap and Lounge will celebrate the evening with a New Year’s Eve Party from 4 p.m. to 1 a.m. The taproom serves craft beer and will offer games and a midnight toast.

Sponsors

Community businesses have pledged sponsorships for the family-friendly event. GOLD sponsors include The General Morgan Inn, Quality Sleep Mattress Barn, and GFL Environmental. SILVER sponsors include Towne Square Package Store and John Deere. Sponsorships of any amount are continuing to be accepted to support this all-ages free event.
