American Downtown’ 4th Of July Celebration

Announces Full Entertainment Lineup

Eight musical acts showcasing a variety of genres will provide entertainment for the Town of Greeneville’s 3rd annual “American Downtown” 4th of July Celebration.
The live music will begin at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, July 4, in the Big Spring area behind the Greeneville-Greene County Public Library and will continue until the fireworks show.
The previously announced Jaystorm Project and Step Cousins will be joined by: Austin Baze, JB & the Wild Honey Band, Heppy Kats, Kentucky Faith, Nick Fillers & the Fugitives, Josh Miller. The complete entertainment schedule and descriptions of each musical act will be available online soon at the Facebook event “American Downtown 2015.”
American Downtown will once again kick off with a Parade at 2 p.m. The theme is “United We Stand,” and special emphasis will be placed on military veterans, according to American Downtown organizer Amy Rose. More details about the parade will be announced soon, Rose said.
In conjunction with this year’s celebration, a Vibe5 “Stars & Strides” 5K race to benefit Veterans Memorial Park will be held prior to the parade. More information on the 5K can be found at vibe5k.com or facebook.com/vibe5k.
Following the 5K and the parade, an afternoon and evening of music, dance, food, and family fun will be held at the Big Spring. The celebration will end with a downtown fireworks display that will be even larger than last year’s show, according to Rose.

Admission to “American Downtown” is free.
