Taste of Greeneville Cancelled

Main Street: Greeneville and the GFWC of Tennessee Greeneville Woman’s Club regretfully announce today that they will NOT be having the Taste of Greeneville 2021, which was set for Tuesday, May 4, at the Greene County Fairgrounds.

Although it was at a different location from past years, it was originally thought that this very popular event could have a positive effect in our on-going effort to get back to normalcy. However, because of several issues affecting our local restaurants in availability of food, food costs, their staffing issues and such, it was found best to once again postpone the event.

Sarah Webster, president of Main Street board of directors, and Teresa Lawrence, president of Greeneville Woman’s Club appreciate the local restaurants and vendors who made an attempt to participate, and all of them are anxious to continue the event in the future. Webster and Lawrence said, “We especially appreciate our title sponsors of TEVET and the Capitol Theatre for their support and are happy they are continuing to support projects in our local community."

Main Street: Greeneville Executive Director Jann Mirkov said, “We are truly sorry for this. We continue to encourage our members and everyone in the community to support local businesses via dine in, carry out and delivery. They deserve our support.”

All tickets purchased through Eventbrite will be credited to the original method of payment. Those holding tickets purchased at the Main Street office or from a member of either organization may request a refund by going to the Main Street: Greeneville office located at 310 S. Main St. prior to Friday, April 30th. Ticket money not refunded by the deadline will be donated to the organizers to be used toward their local projects. Any questions may be directed to the Main Street Greeneville office at 423-639-7102.
