Main Street Greeneville Annouces Ornament Series

October 29, 2017

Custom Designed Limited Edition Ornament Series

The new custom designed and hand painted ornament series is inspired by the organization’s past Historic Building Replica Series. When it became difficult to locate a vendor to continue the building series Main Street looked for an alternate project that would not only showcase the community but also be a major fund raiser for the non-profit organization.

The custom designed and hand painted ornaments, all with stands, are made exclusively for Main Street Greeneville and produced by Hestia Creations.

The Capitol Theatre of Greeneville

The Capitol Theatre of Greeneville is the first in the limited edition series to be offered. The theatre has been a staple in this community for years, first showing motion pictures and being the site of the Davy Crockett Movie premiere in 1955, starring Fess Parker. It served for a time as the home of The Greeneville Little Theater. The iconic marquee having been recently restored brings a renewed vibrancy to the downtown landscape. It currently is a multi-use venue being used for anything from film, to live theatrical performances, concerts, meetings and weddings.

Historic Downtown Streetscape

This piece shows the historic beauty and quaintness of Greeneville. It depicts several of downtown’s notable buildings along Main Street looking north to south.

Preorder at Greeneville Woman’s Club Holiday Bazaar Nov 4

The ornaments with stands will sell for $30 each. Each comes in its own black velvet lined gold gift box with bow. They are currently in production and will arrive in time for Christmas. Preorders are being handled for both designs at the Main Street booth, upper level near the commons at the Holiday Bazaar being held at Hal Henard School Saturday, Nov 4 from 9 – 5 and Sunday, Nov 5 noon – 5 and thereafter at the Main Street Greeneville office, 310 S Main St. Prototypes will be available for viewing.
