Main Street Greeneville’s Weekly Concerts Begin Thursday July 7th

Lyrics on the Lawn 2016 Summer Concert Series begins Thursday, July 7 at 7:00 pm. The FREE concert will be held on the lawn of the Dickson-Williams Mansion in the heart of downtown Greeneville, Tennessee. The concerts take place each Thursday evening in July. The opening act will begin at 7 with intermission scheduled for 7:45 and the headliner takes the stage at 8. In the event of inclement weather the concerts will be held inside at The Capitol Theatre of Greeneville located on South Main Street.

Steve Brown Bio

Steve Brown has been writing, singing, and playing his own style of country, folk and pop music for 40 years. His original songs reflect his being raised in East Tennessee with a few years wandering around Texas, Florida and Canada. He also plays folk rock tunes from the seventies from artists such as James Taylor, Gordon Lightfoot and Eagles.

Award-winning songwriters hook up with top-notch players to deliver a fiercely diverse and high-energy Americana experience. Their roots are in traditional music, but their branches spread across many musical styles.

Named the Americana Vocal Group of the Year at the Blue Ridge Acoustic Uprising, they are known for their strong vocals and award-winning songwriting. My New Favorites takes the roots music of the mountain south and carries them into a modern world. You can hear the influence of Appalachian music, as well as Emmy Lou Harris, Townes Van Zandt, Lucinda Williams, Marvin Gaye and The Allman Brothers, to name a few.

Food Available

On site event food vendors for this concert include, Creamy Cup, and Main Street Greeneville. Additional vendors will join in at future concerts. Food service is scheduled to start at 6:00 pm.

Family Friendly Event

Bring your lawn chairs and/or blankets and select your spot to enjoy the evening. The event is Smoke Free. Please note pets are welcome however they must remain within the designated Fido Friendly area during the event. Next concert will be Thursday, July 14th.
