The Grand Central Hotel as it was known in the late 1890's was elegantly furnished with wide halls having nearly 200 yards of carpeted promenade, the hotel featured two grand parlors, a ball room, and several private rooms for entertaining. Old Greene County Gaol
1999 year issued
The original Greene County Gaol (or Jail as it is spelled now) was built between 1804 and 1805 of stone, making it the oldest standing jail in Tennessee. The red brick second story was erected in 1882. The fifth piece in the series is now retired and only available through the secondary market.

The cornerstone of this church was laid on October 2, 1911 and completed on April 12, 1912. Built of red brick with beautiful stain glass windows; the building has seen many changes through the years. Known as the "Showplace of East Tennessee" the mansion was erected by Greeneville's first postmaster, William Dickson as a gift to his only child Catharine. The First Baptist Church of Greeneville was officially organized on July 30, 1872 with eight members. On August 4, 1947 groundbreaking services were held at the location on North Main Street on what would become the new church building where the first services in that newstructure were held on December 12, 1948.
