Snowball’ Winter Elegance' Moves to The Capitol Theatre

This winter’s latest coming attraction for a great night to have fun will be Main Street: Greeneville’s 4th Annual “Snowball.” This year’s theme is “Winter Elegance”.

The event will be held on Saturday evening, February 7th from 7:30 -11 p.m. at The Capitol Theatre on South Main Street. The organization has moved locations this year since the former space has now been leased and houses a new downtown business called Moments.

Selfies are encouraged at the themed photo area arranged for the guests to have a take away of their evening. The party will be throughout the theatre with the stage set for everyone to dance the night away.

“People can dance, just hang around – they can come have fun and support the Main Street program,” said Jann Mirkov, Executive Director of the program. “Our vision would be to create a vibrant downtown, and having an event like this helps do that.”

A limited number of tickets are now available for $55 each, at the Main Street: Greeneville office at 310 South Main St. (Andrew Johnson Complex). The last three years have been a sell out so don’t be left out in the cold get yours today.

Hors d’oeuvres and beverages will be served.

The focus of the Main Street program is the preservation and revitalization of downtown Greeneville.

“We help polish the jewel that everybody in the community creates,” said Mirkov. “We really encourage involvement from the public and private sectors to help maintain and sustain the downtown area that celebrates our heritage for the present and future.”

Proceeds of the Snowball will go to Main Street: Greeneville and will promote the organization’s various activities, including economic development programs and funding tours of the downtown area.
